School open houses

The schools hosted open houses last night so that the kids could come in and meet their teachers, put away their school supplies, choose desks, etc.!

Jazlyn will start kindergarten tomorrow, and her teacher is Mrs. White. Amazingly there is only one other child from her preschool class in her K class, but fortunately it's Jack! Jazlyn and Jack are quite fond of each other (Jack, as you may recall, professed his love for Jazlyn many time at preschool - to her and others when she wasn't around, lol). Anyway, there are a few little girls from her dance class too, one of which she'll sit by (and, if all is normal, be quite chatty with). Jazlyn says she's not nervous, just excited. We're not quite sure if that's the whole truth, and she's being awfully quiet! I'm sure she'll be chatting our ears off tomorrow when we pick her up!


Peyton will begin 3rd grade. His teacher this year is Mrs. Boyington. I think she will be perfect for him - she seems sooooo nice, but you can tell she won't take any bologna. I hope that's true, as she's got some very unruly kids coming her way this year! Mrs. Boyington happens to have the only air conditioned room in that building - yay!!! Peyton has several classmates from last year in his class this year, as well as several friends from other activities/previous years. We're slightly anxious to see how he handles school with a teacher that's not a "second mother"!

(of course it was so busy there that I didn't bother to check and see if everyone's eyes were open, ugh)
