This week's memory verse:

Eph 4:32

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Part 3 - Christmas Day

Christmas day............well, Mike went to work at 10pm on Christmas Eve and came home at 11:30 vomiting every 15 mins -- yup, he got the same virus as Peyton and Brylie. Luckily we STILL had some phenergan left, and after the second dose he got some relief. He did however have to work as he was the only one on........fun, fun!

So when he got home we let the older two open gifts and then Mike went to bed. We agreed that since Brylie had been ill a couple days before we'd let her rest and open when she got up. Peyton got up about 3am and woke his sister up too. I told them to go back to bed, and although they went, I'm pretty sure they didn't go back to sleep!!!

Jazlyn uncovering her High School Musical slippers (to go with her pj's, but she'd already gotten dressed!):

Peyton was so excited to have a (closer to) regulation size football:

as well as a 2009 Guinness Book of World Records. He's been really into them lately, and this one even has some 3D images and glasses:

One of the things Jazlyn had on her list to Santa was a new lunch box - he found this princess one that looks like a hand bag and she was happy:

Jazlyn got Peyton a Sorry game from the kids' shoppe. They both enjoy playing Sorry, so it will probably get a lot of use!

Brylie got Jazlyn a Barbie guitar:

When Brylie finally got up I think the older two were more excited than she was. She sat there at first wondering what to do with the wrapped gifts! She was happy though to find a Cabbage Patch baby. Her name is Josie:

Did I mention she had to have every last piece of paper off? She got a set of Dora toddler silverware in her stocking:

And a baby from Peyton:

she thought it was neat that the baby's blankie is made from the same material as hers!

The big gift of the day was the PS2 that the family got, along with 20 some games. It's been played A LOT this week! I danced so much with Dance Dance Revolution my legs were sore!

Late morning Papa and Uncle Marc took Peyton hunting with them. He had to get all decked out in his new coveralls (from Granny and Papa), put on his ORANGE hat, and get his gun all ready. He asked me about every 10 minutes if it was time to get his gun ready, lol. It took him a sum of about 2 minutes to get around once Uncle Marc called and told him they were coming! He did get to shoot at a pheasant, and was thrilled :) He and Mike also went hunting all day on Saturday.

Christmas evening I hosted Christmas dinner for Mike's parents and brother and his wife. We had spiral cut ham, twice baked potatoes, a green bean casserole (not the icky canned soup kind though), and homemade rolls. The girls also brought over some of the finger foods we'd had on Christmas Eve. If anyone left hungry it was their own fault! lol

One more post to come.............
