This week's memory verse:

Eph 4:32

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Peyton update

Well, after the fiasco on Friday we finally got pain meds down him and a good nap and he was MUCH improved! He woke up and said “It doesn’t hurt to talk anymore!!!”

Saturday was a pretty good day. We went out to eat with part of Mike’s family who were here for deer hunting. It was good for Peyton to get out (on a positive note) and he ate some mashed potatoes and the filling from a slice of banana cream pie. He was pooped after that though.

Sunday he didn’t even ask for (or agree to any when I asked him if he needed some) pain meds – big stepping stone! I did give it to him before bed though. Yesterday was more of the same.

This morning however he woke me up at 3am in quite a bit of pain, and asked for some meds. Even the water based ones hurt this time, but he tolerated it, went back to bed, and slept until shortly after 10am. I figured he must be getting in some good “repair” sleep. Unfortunately when he got up though, he vomited and had a small amount of blood. Not a good thing. Dr said it was probably from the force of vomiting, but to keep a very close eye on it.

So once again I’m asking for lots of prayers for his healing. It sounds like if it gets too bad we’ll have to go back into surgery and re-cauterize the wounds.
