Happenings.......

Part 1 - part 2 to come tomorrow (hopefully)!

Last Friday Mike and the kids went "Yard Camping" as Jazlyn called it! She's been wanting to go camping with Mike and Peyton but we figured she'd hate it and end up inside quickly, so this was her trial run of sorts.

After setting up the tent in the back yard, they grilled hamburgers and hotdogs:

Then Mom and Dad joined us for smores (Jazlyn hadn't had them before, isn't that crazy?!?!?!):

Then it was time for them to try and get some shut-eye.

They did pretty well - they came in about 11pm to use the restroom and tell on Daddy for telling them scary stories then making spooky noises, then at 4:30am Mike decided he was too old to sleep on the ground, and was going to come in, but about that time the zipper broke on the tent, so they all hauled their stuff inside and camped out in the living room for a couple hours. Needless to say everyone was in need of a nap on Saturday, but they had a ball! Mike decided next time he'll get an air mattress first (he just about dragged Peyton's single mattress out to the tent!!!! lol). Anyway, it was fun for all!

That's all for tonight -- been a busy day (week) and I'm ready to hit the hay!
