This week's memory verse:

Eph 4:32

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

She's on the move!!!

Brylie took her first couple of steps last night!!! We've been working like crazy trying to get her to do it, but last night she finally did to get to Grandpa! Several times last week she'd lift up her heal and then change her mind, silly nut!

This last week or so she's figured out that she can get herself to standing in the middle of the floor (no pulling up on anything) and when she does, she opens her mouth up wide and prompts cheers and applause from those around her:

She also got the funny idea to stand there with her shirt in her mouth -- sister got the giggles at this site:

She's been working lots on her vocabulary now too -- teeth, Gapa, and Gama, are a few of her newest words. She's also getting very good at the body parts quizzes, so we're adding new ones often!

Last Monday while Peyton was off from school we put up (most of) the Christmas decorations. It's been Peyton's job since his first Christmas to put the star on top the tree, but this year Daddy wasn't about to hold him up there -- he had to get the step stool, and is pretty sure that next year he'll be able to do it without any aids :)In lieu of our little tornado (aka Brylie) we decided to put the tree up in the "toy room" where we recently put in a couple of new patio doors. And since there are posts there (and the "fence" to keep here away from the pellet stove) we tied the core of the tree three different ways to hopefully keep it from going over! As you can see, we're not 100% done with the renovations, but close enough to last through the holidays! I figured I better take a picture of the kids' decorating skills before it got redecorated (by Brylie of course). It looked like this for about 5 minutes, hehe.

Brylie's job, we decided, is going to be to put up the nativity. This is a set that my grandparents got me from Mexico several years back -- it holds a special place in my heart of course :)

Jazlyn's job is to put up the stockings, but we haven't gotten that done yet, as I still have some work to do on Brylie's (evidently I didn't finish making her last year and just hung it up half done?). Hoping to take care of that this week, along with LOTS of other stuff! lol
