This week's memory verse:

Eph 4:32

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

This week at the Fenner's

Sunday consisted of Church, a little NFL, and the Cole Family Farm's corn maze! We went with some good friends who have kids the same age as the Peyton and Jazlyn, and we figured it'd take us about an hour. WRONG!!! lol........we finally emerged 2 hours later! There are stopping points numbered 1-10 throughout the maze, and you can pick up "passports" that help you chose which way to turn at that number. We took three, but generally used the interactive passport -- it included everything from doing the bunny hop to see what the last few steps were, to singing Happy Birthday to determine the 18th word! hehe It was mostly a lot of fun -- except for going from 7 -8, which took us 40 mins and several trips by #7! lol........Here's a picture of what the maze is this year:Believe me you walk pretty much the ENTIRE maze hehe! Thank goodness we know enough to know that since it's planted in rows, if it came down to it, we could hit one of the rows and just head south to get out! Of course this pic was take when it was still green -- it's all dry now. They have a look out type thing that you can see out over the maze (well, some of it anyway), I took this picture from up there:It's on the middle right side if you're looking at the whole maze picture.

I thought I would feel really trapped in, but it wasn't bad at all -- very open. The kids took turns deciding which way to turn - older kids first, then younger kids, etc. Most of the time they did pretty well, but there did come one point that the adults were ready to get out and took hold of the reins. If you asked Mike, he'd tell you the hardest part was carrying Brylie! It wasn't a place we could really take the stroller through, so we just traded off carrying her. He was quite sore the next day from it!At the exit of the maze was the corn cannon. Each of the kids shot a cob chunk -- it was loud and went far! They had fun trying to make it in the barrel though :)The last stop (#10) in the maze said to make up a song or poem type thing. If you came in an performed it in the office, you'd get a treat! The kids made one up:

Corn in the mornin'
Corn at night!
We got stuck in your
corn maze 'till MIDNIGHT!

lol.......they got their treats, and were satisfied!Brylie's latest rage is our dog, Howie! She hears him bark and goes crazy wanting to go out and see him! Sometimes we just look at him out the back doors, sometimes we HAVE to go outside! hehe........
She's also been having fun playing with sister's Barbie while she's at school:

The girls had sleeping issues this week (blaming it on the weather change).......Brylie wouldn't sleep anywhere but in my arms:
Jazlyn, well, she threw a fit because I wouldn't tell her something (I think?) and went to her room, pulled her blank it off her bed, and had it over her head when I went to check on her.......she clearly needed a nap, though she of course wouldn't admit it!Mike and the kids went on a wrestling rampage last night:

Peyton has had standardized tests all week and, !!!, thought they were fun!!! lol..........

He also worked fervently toward receiving his first Book It! certificate this week, and chose to read his children's Bible to put in his time. It was nice and gave us a lot of opportunity to talk about things. He thought really hard about how God took one of Adam's ribs to make Eve, and was quite fascinated with how they were made "instant" adults, and wondered why God hasn't made everyone that way, lol...........the next story of course was about Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit. When the story was over, he stated "So it's all THEIR fault!!!" hehe.........let's see, other comments........he instantly recognized that God making the builders of the tower of Babel speak different languages as the reason why some people speak Spanish today :) Those were the ones that stood out to me this week!

I really need to make you another reading video -- you'd be amazed at his improvement!

That's the bulk of the week's happenings I think. Mike changes shifts this weekend to overnights, so we'll have a fairly unhappy household the next month........we're all always glad when this shift is over!

Oh, one last thing........Mike turns 30 next month.......anyone with ideas, feel free to email them to me! thanks!

Have a great week!
